Starting yet another blog. Why? Because it just seems easier in my multi-tasking social web based world to do so. Yes I do many different things. But this blog, it's all about Photography & Video Production. That's it and thats all.

I've been in love with photography since I was 8, I didn't know what I was doing but it didn't matter. I grabbed my mom's camera every chance I could because I didn't want to miss capturing something I saw as being beautiful.

5 years ago my best friend had bought a brand new Sony Alpha, the first of its kind to come out for Sony. My best friend didn't have much chance to use the camera before I snatched it (with her permission of course) and started taking pictures under the name Classic8Designs. I decided I was going to run it like a business, to minimize costs. After a year of shooting people were offering me money left and right to take pictures of them and play their paparazzi at events. This being before the economy blew out of course. Now days that doesn't happen so often anymore. That's alright though, if you actually picked up a camera for the love of photography and started taking on clients you might feel as I did after a while, stifled and frustrated.

Over the last 5 years I have learned so much, and of course I'm still learning every day. That's what I love about photography, the learning process never ends. There are no set rules regardless of what anyone tells you. All that matters is that you get great results. The best photographers have done that by gaining knowledge, experience, and using their imagination. To me, it's not all about what kind of camera you use. The camera is just a tool. All the equipment, just tools. It's all in how you use these tools that matter most.

Sometimes I didn't have any money at all but I had visions in my mind. I really wanted to bring them to life. Imagination got me to the Dollar store buying car sun reflectors and using them as reflectors (yes it did work). I went to thrift stores to buy clothing for models, still do. So the point is, hi, hello. My name is Michelle aka "Classic8". This is my story. I hope what I post strikes your imagination and evokes your inspiration to create your own visions.Photography to me is about capturing the current moments in life, to tell stories about our present, for the future and beyond. In other words your creating history at its best. You can tell a lot about how a photography thinks and perceives the world in their pictures.
